Work in Progress |
A journey of training and hopefully transforming! After taking up running mid 2011, I fell in love with it and hope to share my passion with others! When I started I couldn't run a bath! But now I can say I have completed several races including the Great North Run and have signed up for many more in 2012. |
I survived - just! I now know why they call it insanity - first of all you have to be insane to do it and secondly the program is insane!
We started by getting weighed and were given our weight, body fat % and hydration %. We had photos taken of our front, side and back and then we got into a space to begin the fitness test.
I thought I was of average fitness being a runner and spinning a couple fo times per week but boy I was wrong according to this fitness test I am UNFIT and there is loads of room for improvement! It was really hard! We did a series of different exercises trying to do as many as we could in one minute. Considering one of the exercises was called suicide jumps you can only but imagine the pain I was put through this morning!
I have been given a nutrition sheet as well and Gary explained that if I want to see serious results I need to follow the plan and keep up with the exercises and that’s just what I’m going to do!
Even though I felt sick and dizzy when I finished the fitness test it’s made me determined to improve and by day 10 be asble to post how well I’ve done!
Stay tuned
