Work in Progress |
A journey of training and hopefully transforming! After taking up running mid 2011, I fell in love with it and hope to share my passion with others! When I started I couldn't run a bath! But now I can say I have completed several races including the Great North Run and have signed up for many more in 2012. |
Day 10 has arrived the final session before the fitness test and weigh in tomorrow morning at 6am. I have definately lost inches and can tell the difference when I look in the mirror. I don’t think I’ve lost lots of weight as I haven’t stuck to the diet as rigidly as I could have (it is Christmas after all) but hopefully I’ll see a difference in body fat %!
After not being able to walk properly yesterday morning due to my (silly) knee, throughout the day it did get better and I was able to walk normally and bend my knee fully with only a slight niggle. So I set my alarm for 6.30am to get up and head for another session at The Unit Gym on the Ignition program.
I arrived and after chatting to Gary I decided to take it at my own pace and if I felt it hurt too much to just stop take a breath and try again. Thats exactly what I did! It was hard and some exercises hurt the knee more than others, switch kicks in particular hurt, but I finished the workout with sweat dripping from me - no change there!I’m looking forward to tomorrow to see the improvements more than the 6am start but then I have a half day at work and I will be finished for Christmas :)
Going to try a short run tomorrow afternoon to see how the knee does and hopefully I will be fine for a festive Parkrun on Saturday with my fellow TBH.
I will post the results of Ignition on here tomorrow and I might have some photos too, if I’m feeling brave enough!
