Work in Progress |
A journey of training and hopefully transforming! After taking up running mid 2011, I fell in love with it and hope to share my passion with others! When I started I couldn't run a bath! But now I can say I have completed several races including the Great North Run and have signed up for many more in 2012. |
Feels like I should have some X Factor type music on or Dermot to announce the results!
10 Day Christmas Fire Up completed - it was hard, I’ve almost cried, passed out and been sick, I’ve got up super early every morning to put myself through ‘Insanity’ and yet I’ve had more energy, eaten less rubbish (second week not included) and most importantly lived to tell the tale!
So the results are in -
Weight loss = 1.2lb not as much as I was hoping or could have lost as my diet has been shocking this week, I’ve eaten less but not of good foods, if I’d of continued like the first week I think I could have seen a greater loss but hey it’s Christmas!
Body fat % loss = 2% again I think this could have been more but it’s moving in the right direction so I’m happy with that.
Hydration level % = up 1% so I’m more hydrated and I’m going to continue the good habit of drinking lots of water.
The fitness test = from the first time where I felt dizzy and sick and could barely get through the exercises I have most definately improved on all the exercises I managed at least 5 more (apart from push up jacks - still struggling with those but I did one more than last time) and the best thing is even though I was pushing myself I didn’t feel as sick or dizzy so improvements all round!
Measurements = I haven’t measured myself today but I did on Monday and found that I had lost 1 inch from my waist, 1.5 inches from my hips, 0.5 inch from my bicep and 1 inch from my chest. I will do another one later and post the results properly.
So overall it’s been an interesting 10 days hard but enjoyable at the same time! I would encourage anyone to take on a new challenge, it doesn’t have to be as insane as the one I’ve done it could just be walking so many steps a day or trying a new sport. It gives you a great sense of acheivement and when you start to see the improvements you realise all the hard work was worth it and you can walk round with a huge smug look on your face!
Success isn’t how far you got but the distance you traveled from where you started.
