A journey of training and hopefully transforming! After taking up running mid 2011, I fell in love with it and hope to share my passion with others! When I started I couldn't run a bath! But now I can say I have completed several races including the Great North Run and have signed up for many more in 2012. |
I haven’t poseted anything in a while because well quite simply I’ve had nothing to post!
My knee is still causing me pain when I’m running so after trying last Thursday to run through it I decided to take a week off. I’ve had a sports massage (which hurt like hell) and completely rested and thought I would try a run today … with no luck! Still in pain and felt really uncomfortable to run, so as soon as I felt the niggle I stopped.
Going to have another rest and not run, keep stretching and look for some sort of exercise that might help or at least keep me fit without making it worse!
I’m going to be brave and go swimming tomorrow - dreading getting into a swimming costume but the more I sit and do nothing the worse I’m going to feel and I’ve heard swimming is great for fitness and with it being non impact should be ok for my knee.
I’ve started with my diet by weighing myself this morning. I’m following the slimming world plan but not going to any classes as I need to do this myself. Looking forward to being healthy but it’s hard! I’m feeling pretty sorry for myself today so not the normal positive post I write but hopefully once this knee is sorted out I can return to being PB girl! Lets hope it doesn’t take too longĀ
