A journey of training and hopefully transforming! After taking up running mid 2011, I fell in love with it and hope to share my passion with others! When I started I couldn't run a bath! But now I can say I have completed several races including the Great North Run and have signed up for many more in 2012. |
After a fantastic session on Tuesday night then a good session in the gym on Wednesday I was tired yesterday, I still put my kit on and headed out with TBH for an interval session - the dreaded 4x4mins. I’m not a huge fan of this session whilst I can see the benefits I always start out too fast so end up knackered and 4 mins seem to take forever! By the third interval my legs felt like led and I’d mentally given up! Total time 55mins, 5miles completed avg pace 11min/mile this included 2 mins recovery of walking so quite happy with the stats!
I did keep going however even if it wasn’t as fast as normal or as enjoyable but then everyone has an off day! I got home had a hot bath, stretched and had an omlette with fry light chips and salad for tea. I was so tired I crawled into bed and had an early night.
I planned to go to the gym this morning to get another mile or two done on the treadmill but as far as I was concerned it was too cold and I was too tired to go! Half day at work today so I can do something this afternoon either a short run or quick gym session!
This weekends plans are short run in my spikes tomorrow and longer run and spinning on Sunday, I might swap the runs round depending on how I feel! I’m also planning my meals for the weekend to keep me on track!
